In January, the horoscope wheel again turns to new positions. Think of this month as a transitional month that will bring you closer to your two most celebratory, enchanting months of the year, February and March. As a Scorpio, in January and in the months to come, you will increasingly find yourself to be in the right place at the right time. The coming year will not be just any old rerun of last year - it will have an entirely new look and feel, and in so many ways, as the planets will be in ideal positions to help you.

A lunar eclipse - which is technically a full moon but one that will have the strength of three full moons in one - will light your ninth house of long distance travel and foreign people and places. This will happen on December 31 in the United States, Canada, South America, Africa, and Europe, but due to time zones, this lunar eclipse will fall one day later, on January 1, in Asia, New Zealand, and Australia. The difference of timing will be less than 24 hours, but enough to push the eclipse into a different month and year.

This eclipse falls on a fixed star Alhena, and that indicates some difficulty in travel. You also have to protect against injuries to your feet. If you can travel a few days after January 1, so much the better, but if you can't, just know you may have to endure a few delays.
